Femmes Digitales and STEP IT Academy Discuss New Opportunities for Collaboration
On September 30, 2024, a productive meeting took place between Femmes Digitales and STEP IT Academy, represented by Acting Executive Director Nazli Mammadova, alongside Femmes Digitales Founder and Chairwoman Jana Krimpe, Secretary General Sayyara Huseynova, and Board Member Maryam Abbaszade. This gathering focused on exploring new opportunities for collaboration.
The meeting centered on further advancement of regional programs and the upcoming AWITA 2024 (Azerbaijan Women in TECH Awards), which is expected to host over 500 attendees on December 6, 2024. The discussion highlighted the importance of expanding outreach, reaching more applicants and building impactful partnerships to further empower women and girls in technology.
STEP IT Academy’s active involvement in regional initiatives for the past 9 years was celebrated. These programs, organized by Femmes Digitales, aim to inspire Azerbaijani girls from various regions to pursue careers in information and communication technologies (ICT). Through charitable initiatives, over 1,000 girls have already been reached, offering them hands-on training in coding and robotics under the mentorship of STEP IT Academy experts.
The collaboration between Femmes Digitales and STEP IT Academy has become a cornerstone in promoting gender inclusivity and creating opportunities for young Azerbaijani talent in the tech sector. Both organizations reaffirmed their commitment to advancing these goals and enhancing the impact of their initiatives through mutual support and innovation.
This partnership promises to bring significant results, not only at AWITA 2024 but also in the long-term mission of empowering the next generation of tech leaders in Azerbaijan.
