On 7-8th June, the biggest conference for women in technologies in Europe – the Perspektywy Women in Tech Summit 2022 took place in Warsaw, Poland.
The summit is a distinguished event for women in Tech and IT industry in Europe. This year, approximately 15000 people from 105 countries attended a hybrid version of the conference, which was packed with knowledge, new ideas, meetings with great people, job opportunities, and networking.
The Main Stage hosted great guests who opened the two-day women’s celebration at Tech & IT with inspiring speeches about the equality, diversity and sustainable leadership of women. The speakers at the Grand Opening were: Bianka Siwinska – President at Perspektywy Women in Tech Education Foundation; Rafał Trzaskowski – Mayor City of Warsaw; Justyna Orłowska – Plenipotentiary of the Prime Minister for GovTech; Daniel Lawton – Deputy Chief of Mission at the United States Embassy to Poland; Roza Otunbayeva – Former President of Kyrgyzstan. The representatives of world known companies: Google, Amazon, Meta, Accenture, Goldman Sachs, GSK, P&G, Boston Consulting Group, and other 150 global speakers shared their presentations and insights during 140 workshops, Tech Talks and mentoring sessions.
Summit Director & Perspektywy Education Foundation CEO, Bianka Siwińska shared her thoughts regarding the ultimate goal of the event — “It is time for sustainable leadership. We believe in women and their power to change the world. We believe in the value of science and technology as the tools allowing us to know, understand and create amazing solutions to the most urgent problems of today. For the first time in history women can really do anything! Thanks to their minds, sensitivity and empathy the world has a chance for new history. – Her Story”.
Around 30 Azerbaijani professionals and students were selected to participate in the conference. 6 members of Public Association: Supporting Women in TECH — “FEMMES DIGITALES” shared their knowledge and practice about encouraging girls and women to study and work in IT sphere and learned about the leading experience of European IT companies. Within the scope of the event, it was cherishing to discuss about trending topics in tech and information on thriving through tech career phases and facets. The summit connected women working on the business and technical sides of the industry at every career level, from students to senior executives.
